Happy New Year to all.
Just had an owner write to say he was sending his Strom's clutch basket over for the modification. Problem was that after removing it from his bike he'd dropped it on a hard floor as it was being packed for the post. Fell right on the delicate rim of the aluminium casting and cracked it.
Very rare is a cracked casting and I can often put my hand on any spare required but I'm completely out of basket castings. Does anyone have a discarded clutch basket (DL1000 or SV1000)? Condition of the damper is not relevant. Just a good casting.
The owners original internals are going to be in great shape. Just need building into any casting to save him the cost of a new one at £200 on top of the modification.
They have to be worth £60 and I will pick up the cost or arrange postage to collect them. Just the basket as pictured here.............. this one is clean (and modified).
