Make sure your vehicle is fit to be on the road.
« on: January 17, 2020, 19:31:15 »
Last night just driving around and spotted a Sprinter van with a broken brake light lens.
Stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver .... well I say spoke but he didn't understand English .... he had no ID on him and the van was loaded with Fruit and Veg..... Eventually we used our mobile fingerprint scanner..... turns out he didn't have a driving licence, was driving his friends van with No Insurance and illegally entered the UK in 2015 and absconded from Border Force 2 weeks later ... on the run for 5 years but now sitting in a detention centre waiting for a flight home.

All because the brake light was broken.

I broke that back light. :shy:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Result.

There were several breakdowns on our bit of motorway over Christmas where the driver was clearly OPL.
Quick call and job on a plate for roads policing. If that is repeated across the country, it is quite shocking how many people are drink driving.
It seems that there is a never ending supply of people who think they can ignore the rules.

Essex roads seem full of crazy coke heads
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

It is far worse in Northern Ireland than on the mainland I reckon. I worked there for three months last year and the people in the local pub near me didn’t seem to worry about DD at all. They joked about it.
