650xt vs Storm Katie in Wales, Easter 2016
« on: March 30, 2016, 21:24:43 »
So I spent Easter weekend in Wales. Love riding there as its not too far from Oxfordshire and such a dramatic change of roads and scenery.

Two nights in a pub in Rhayader with my Father and his friends from a French tour, with on night in between spent in my tipi further north near Betws-y-Coed.

Storm Katie gave some pretty harsh weather conditions, alot of which impared my GoPro's vision too much.
I had a great time though!

Going to post a thread in the Pictures section too.

That's a great little video, and shows the flicability of the 650 nicely.   :)

Nice. I did a Wales trip myself a few years ago and it rained, then rained, then rained some more.

No chance of getting caught by that speed trap in that rain though.

Great video. By the look of the pedestrian who did not hear you coming, a louder exhaust might be required!  :smirk:

Wales...... lovely scenery.....

Depends where you go of course - these are both less than ten miles of my house! Wales is like many other parts of the UK - some is picturesque and some shit!

Thanks blokes.

Hondaman, The extra switch on handlebars is for my auxiliary lights.

NTBooth, BVG is the man!

Sea-Strom, I definitely need a louder exhaust. I commute on my bike everyday through traffic and would like to be heard. Nothing obnoxious but 'loud pipes save lifes'.

I was wondering if anyone would mention my engine management light that's on in a couple of clips!

Nice.
I see you are in Oxford, although I ride an old beemer I frequent this site - if you fancy a ride out some time give a shout as I'm just north of Witney - I need to get the rear brakes sorted though and get the ugly thing MOT'd but tht shouldn't take too long to sort.
