New member from Italy
« on: February 07, 2024, 12:36:36 »
Hello all! Owner of a 2010 DL650A, about 60.000 kms now. Very happy to read this forum during years, searching for mantainance tips and guides. So, many thanks to every contributor!

During the first years of the bike, I had some trips across Italy and southern France, which is very close to my location (I live in Turin). Now, due to... family restrictions... I usually have day trips across the Alps, and some 2-3 days occasionally. Also, I'm using more and more the bike in the daily routine, as a commuter.

That is, even if the bike has some years, is still a big "all-terrain" usage resource. The only concern is about restrictions about environment (Euro3 will be banned from some areas starting from 2028 in Italy), but we will see later :)

In the pic attached, me and my bike on the Colle del Moncenisio / Col du Mont Cenis (Italy/France)

 :welcani: from Northumberland, England.
You've Got to love Northern Italy. Stayed in Aosta, Lugano, St.Michaels, Goriza, Steinegg etc. It never disappoints.
Apologies if there's spelling mistakes there.

Welcome. 👍

I went to the Amalfi Coast last June on my 1050 XT. I travelled through the Frejus Tunnel, Turin, Genoa, Grosseto, Rome, Naples and finally Salerno.

I should have taken the Salerno hotel managers advice and gone to Amalfi by boat. 😱

Epic journey.😁
