Motorcycle Live
« on: November 26, 2019, 17:35:05 »
All

just a quick video of some of the stuff we found interesting at Motorcycle Live this year.

Some shots of the new V Strom included.

Just a bit of fun, but may be of interest if you didn't make the show this year

Cheers

We went on the first Sunday.
3 halls.
I didn't see so many of the smaller independent stalls, but there were a few more than the last time we went in 2014.

I enjoyed a good nose around the new Stroms with Josh and I will admit I like the 1050XT more than the outgoing model.

Having a sit on the Benelli Trek 500... I like the look of it and aparently it's far better than the CB500x and the Chinese seem to be making this one for the European market to European quality.

I'm still wanting to add a Himalayan to the garage, everytime I see one I want one more. Jen says we can have matching ones.  :thumb:
But neither of us will give up the big bikes just yet.

But will I be going back next year... no.
Once every few years and it's a bit of fun and a nose around. Every year and it'll be exactly the same as the previous year.

You could probably buy 3 Himalayans for the price of the new 1050xt .
Once one wears out you can chuck it away  lol.

I to am a closet fan of the quirky Himalayan... A bit more power would pursued me to own one.  :icon_wink:

Agree with the comment on the Himalayan - tried one and spoke to several owners an all commented on the lack of power - fine for dirt track roads but underwelming on UK roads
You can live more in 5 minutes on a bike... than some people will live in their whole lifetime (Burt Munro, World's Fastest Indian)

I suppose it depends on what you use the Himalayan for

For UK back roads I think it's a fun, capable bike

But yes, on the motorway, it would be stressed.  So maybe a second bike option :)
