.. and why not... praise where its due ...
« on: November 14, 2011, 21:00:52 »
Hi All !
I write as a newbie (here anyway) ...
- been riding 30 years or so now and this is my 1st ever Suzuki ! (a Vee)
(no I can't quite believe that myself either, I've pretty much had everything else)
- had it for a month now - brilliant bike ! handles, goes and filters with ease
- I needed the legroom so I PX'd my beloved Sprint ST 1050 (too painful to ride more than an hour now)
- I still have my trusty and fun VFR 750 though (84K on the clock, so nicely run in)
- Daily commute of 96 miles to Coventry (on the bike) - if you know Cov, you know why !

Anyway enough about me, just a word of praise for your website and members !
Great for information, well organised, helpfull, friendly and (as of now) great for bargains as well!
So well done to you and the members !!
Hopefully I will contribute more than I take from the site in future.
that's it - thanks again, and look forward to getting to know you more later
Take Care
Pete
... but if I fit mirror extenders, I'll end up scraping the sides of all the vans, lorries and 4x4's parked on the centre line,  when I have to filter ? ..... Hmmm ... !!

Nice one. :thumb:

Folk here don't take things too seriously.

(Unless it's Vee versus Wee, that is).

People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs.

Hi pete,  :welcome: and thanks for the kind words, this is a good forum, innit? A higher percentage of canny, and tolerant people than many others I've seen, anyway...

I had a green '97 and it had to go because of pain - the wee was a revelation, though! :thumb:

Yeah Pat - my advice is don't !!
 :old:
It can be prettty miserable, and I'm too old to be macho about it.
At least the Vee's heated grips work though & the hand guards are a new thing for me !
