GIVI D3112ST
« on: October 03, 2018, 22:24:08 »
I have a 2017 model Vstrom DL650XA and found that the OEM screen, even on the highest setting would only kick the wind over my head at 80mph (French toll roads), (I'm 6ft tall). I fitted a Givi D3112ST tall screen but to be honest things have not improved that much. Infact, anything over 50 produces lots of buffeting with no relief at 80 like I used to get. Also, leaning forward even slightly drops the mpg reading by 5mpg! Has anyone fitted one of these screens and found a way to make it work better than this? I have even fitted the more stream-lined mirrors which did help a little but it's so noisey! Any suggestions gratefully received. I wonder if I'd be better off with the standard screen with a deflector?

Givi Airflow works very well for me but I'm not on the tall side of tall, more the short side of short  :thumb:

That's great but what model Airflow? What model Givi are you using Old Biker? There seem to be so many different models I can't try them all!

This is the model you need??? I have one on mine (but 2013 model) fit it and play with the settings. If the fittings are the same the lower screen can be fitted in three fixings and the upper screen slides up & down. For me the lower screen is on middle fixings and the upper screen is about one inch of lowest setting. I also fitted Aprilia mirrors & mirror extenders.
