With me it has always been space,I have moved house maybe 15 times with my jobs, so sometimes it was "what can I get in a taxi".
If you can manage keeping it versus cost ( you will have space looks like) keep it.

As Nige said Noooooooooo
I can see what you mean graingerblaze but your Strom is a legend on here and is such a credit to you.
I know any bike you have will be treated the graingerblaze way  lol
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.  And good luck with the move 👍

Thanks, not sure about the legend part but it’s certainly a nice example of a generation one. It’s tricky, never wanted lots of bikes in the garage but selling the wee will be hard. Will enjoy the summer riding season and especially the ABR festival which I will attend on the wee. Thanks  :)

Taxed it (£117 now) and took my new to me L5 out for a quick spin for the first time,16 miles, feels nice, suspension feels a little tauter than my old L2,engine is very sprightly considering it is hardly run in,had to adjust gear lever height and clutch when I got back home.Plus possibly there may be air in the front brake as it feels spongy compared to my last 2 Vstroms, all in all very pleased.

Just yesterday I put youngest sons 2005 650 into my garage after he acquired a TDM900 (the Strom replaced his previous TDM after it, the TDM, was reversed over by a myopic pickup driver in a car park  :dl_smiley_banghead:)

Having given the little Strom a wash and buff up with a view to putting it up for sale, I find myself drawn to the idea of adding it to my small (very small) collection of two wheeled grin making machines!

Lets see if someone wants to pay my price to take it away to a new life

Steve, if you put a high enough price on it, it won't sell and you can keep it though you may have to give that price to your Son.  :thumb:

Darn, you've spotted my cunning plan  :lala:

Won't owe son a red cent - I bought the Strom for him in 2016 and I paid for the recent TDM cos he couldn't get the cash.

Come to think of it, I also bought the 1st TDM!!! But it was originally for me.

I blame his mother

Right, off to hide in the cupboard, just in case she reads this  :shy:

@Ianmc - you could've taxed it on the 31st of March for the tax to run from 1st April and it'd have been £111 (assuming it was insured) - did that for both of mine

My daughters on holiday this week and her cat needs feeding, this is a regular duty I take on several times a year as my daughter is a secondary school teacher and really needs / deserves her holidays.

Her house is about 30 miles away... and it was not raining... no! Really, it wasn't... so, obvious choice of transport.

A main road closure (at Easter?) meant that part of the ride out was down single track roads and through farmyards. The upside being... no other traffic. I came home the long way, past Bristol Airport and all the way down the A38 to Brent Knoll, then doubled back into W-s-M.

I am carrying a horrible cold at present, so it was a real treat to get out in to the warmth and the sunshine.

Only 75 miles... but I'll take that over another wet afternoon indoors.
The older I get, the better I was.

Hi Neil. I almost stopped reading at "it was not raining" cause I thought this was going to be a tall story . Sounds like a nice ride. Have you ever walked to the top of Brent Knoll? You can park by the church and walk from there but it's a long steep climb. I set myself a challenge not to stop until I reached the top and was almost dead when I got there.

It's well worth the walk because the view is outstanding. Don't do it until your cold clears up though.  :thumb:

I can't say I blame you Doc for laughing at such a stupid idea as a day without rain... but it really did happen.

I must confess I have never walked up Brent Knoll. I've done Crooks Peak loads of times, parking in Kings Wood CP, and also Middle Hope at Sand Bay, but never done the Knoll.

I do know a couple of blokes who occasionally fly model gliders off the Knoll and also know you can cycle up / around it... I shall have to give it a go.

I guess it's one of those places that is so close to home that locals rarely think to go there.

A lovely 160 mile wander around Norfolk and Suffolk with two friends today, and found a new café to recommend at Semer garden centre, near Ipswich.
Blustery and dry weather, but the roads were wet and muddy from field run off so will be cleaning the bike tomorrow.

Got the bike booked in for a fresh MOT in a few weeks time. Replaced the chain and sprockets today and another good clean. Undecided if I put the bike up for sale this month or at the end of summer… I do fancy a change and there are some lovely 1050’s up for sale at the moment!

penny tech     ....I bought a  cheap china   chainoiler off amozon   and it were  bad   ..so I had a shot at a posher one with better seals    for thirty quid
been using it  for a while and  I like its simple   operation  ..twist one quarter and it lubes for  about three mins   all good
had a go at making a duel  feed    some epoxy   some wire  half a ice  hockey puch   and   a few cable ties
bugger me it works  really well   as both link set are now evenly oiled     ..looks a bit rough  but tbo   you can't really see it..main thing it does the job I guess  . I was well impressed with it   when I nipped up to jockland

on a normal dry day   one quarter turn   around halfway keeps things shiny  ..when its raining     maby two or three   depending on the distance and mileage  ..but  Yupr its  OK to use   and easy to see  if you need to turn Your knob or not when you stop    .. on a long 300 mile dry day   [imagine that  ]   ?   two twists and Your golden

I've had tuturos and still have a scottoiler  but   tbo I'm liking this better   as u can just give it a blast when its needed  instead of a constant feed  ..  I got caiught out a bit by the super cheap ones   ..you definitely need the ones with the internal lid seals   ..so  ill just post a link to the one I'm using   although  flea bay  have the same   brand  at 15 quid or is it a copy  ??     don't know

anyway this one works and works well

braaaaaaaaaaaap

ice hockey pucks    are   for me sidestand    ..bigger foot  but  lessen the lean  ..so I can  john wayne it getin on    :grin:just came in handy on this   poundland   job   :thumb:
