Anakee 3 tyres fitted
« on: April 13, 2017, 12:31:38 »
Just had a pair of Anakee 3s fitted to my Veek and what a difference they have made. Had these tyres on my last 3 bikes and rate them very highly. Great in the dry or wet, not bad on dirt tracks but the 95% of my riding is on the road.
Bike is more stable and turns into corners better, feels more planted.

These are my favorites tyres at the moment. I like riding Welsh backroads, nothing proper off road but maybe grass growing in the middle type stuff. The 3s cope well and still behave on the road when it's time to head home. Use the bike all year round and feel confident with them.

My mate is having them fitted to his explorer so he can keep up with me????
I look quick therefore I am.

I have them, done 13 k kms (about 8 k miles) and still half the tread left.

Very satisfying and confident tyres.  :thumb:
So how's it going so far then?

Just been checking my Anakee 3's as I've got a big europe tour coming up.

Fitted them at 51.5k miles on the clock, bike now has 64k miles on the clock and they have 3mm tread left.

I'm definitely getting these again!!

That's my kind of riding too, they suit it well.  That said, it's Anakee Wilds for me next on the Alps trip.  Or possibly Anakee 2's.

Running with a steady leader on the road (max 80mph) and looking at doing a good few trails.  It'll be interesting to see how the big girl copes on the trails, and some snow is expected at the Stella Alpina.  Our leaders on a much more dirt capable bike, CCM 450 GP running them too.  I've only tried dry rocky stuff on the bike so far.
