Dangerous driving songs
« on: January 14, 2013, 23:34:22 »
A new experiment has revealed the songs that can cause motorists to drive more dangerously. But what makes a song a driving hazard?

Most of us like to listen to music while we’re driving.

However, there are some songs you would do well to avoid when behind the wheel, according to the results of a new motoring experiment by Confused.com.

American dance act the Black Eyed Peas’ 2004 hit Hello Mama topped the chart of songs not to drive to.

And it seems rock music is the most dangerous music genre to listen to if you want to stay safe on the road, judging from the make up of the top 10 dangerous driving songs.

Top 10 dangerous driving songs
1. Hello Mama – The Black Eyed Peas
2. Dead on Arrival – Fall Out Boy
3. Paper Planes – M.I.A
4. Walkie Talkie Man – Steriogram
5. Paradise City - Guns N’ Roses
6. How You Remind Me – Nickelback
7. Hit the Road, Jack – Ray Charles
8. Get Rhythm – Johnny Cash
9. Heartless – Kanye West
10. Young, Wild and Free – Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa (feat. Bruno Mars)

Out the 10 I only know 4 of them, well 3, but I have heard of Mr Cash!

Paradise City - Guns N’ Roses
How You Remind Me – Nickelback
Hit the Road, Jack – Ray Charles
 Get Rhythm – Johnny Cash

So people what's the most dangerous song in your collection.
Mine must be Bat Out of Hell

I think they must have researched it by asking one old bloke and one young bloke who work in the office. I used to drive a van up and down the motorway from Glasgow to London to the sound of Kraftwerk - can't seem to remember many of those miles.

sorry got to disagree withte h rock/pop the most dangerous "piece of music" is flight of the valkryies - r Wagner. Very dangerous. Seems to make you go very fast indeed. Used in apocalypse now. I had it on the radio once - judge was very sympathetic as it was classical music!
It's not my fault, it's your fault. I told you I was stupid but you didn't listen!

I have a collection of club mix tracks produced by Sebbit (search for sebbit 2004) best played loud but I dare not put them on in the car - the vigorous beat positively encourages erratic/fast driving.

1812 overture. I'm a possessed man when I listen to it. Very exhilarating which means extremely dangerous when driving as I am untouchable at that moment   :music-rockon:

2112 overture for me

I have noticed that I do arrive home a few minuets earlier than normal if I'm listening to Slayer or Anthrax and the like. Must be some truth in it after all ?

Would have to think about it for a while but "I want it all" by queen would be up there - doesn't really talk to my benevolent side!  Poison (Alice Cooper) and Handel's Messiah also make an eclectic short list.

Well when I was young and foolish, me and my mate went halfs on a old reliant robin. Oh boy you can have some fun in them things!
I lost count of how may times we tipped over going round  bends,
Just got out pushed it back onto its wheels and off we would go. The song that always reminds me of it  was Crawling from the wreckage, by Dave Edmunds I think it was.
Oh happy days until it went to fiberglass heaven!

Long haired lover from Liverpool- Jimmy Osmond
Makes me  :-x  :-x

Dangerous when driving if the  :-x  hits the windscreen!!
If it moves, glue it.  If it doesn't, hit it
