Hi All,
I have added to my tomtom rider a POI file that indicates the locations of the fixed radar and also the usual locations of mobile radars ( hiden ). This works very well   :)
I have also tried in  Garmin Zumo and also works.
Only have the POI file for Portugal and Spain right now, if anyone interested, message me.

Procedure in Tomtom

When you have downloaded the zip file and store this somewhere on your computer, you need to extract this before you can use the speedcam files for the TomTom. To extract the files you can user the program winzip or the free program 7-Zip.

After pressing the button extract a screen will be visible to store the files on a tempory place. Please select a directory and press "Extract".

Go now to the TomTom GO folder where the map is stored where you would like to have the speedcams stored. In our case we go to drive G:\ and find the European Map.

After finding the map we use again the right mouse button and press "Paste".

Now the files will be copied to the correct directory.

Now it is time to setup the TomTom so that we will be warned for speedcams.

TomTom Go Select Preferences

Select "Change preferences"

Manages TomTom NP''''''''''''''''s

Select "Manage NP''''''''''''''''s".

Manage NP''''''''''''''''s

Select "Warn when near POI"

Select a speedcam category

Fill in the distance for when you would like to be warned for a speedcam.

Select a sound what you would like to hear when you approach a speedcam.

Confirm this using yes if you have select the correct sound.

When you set this checkmark you will only be warned if the speedcam is exactly on the route. This works in most time correctly.

Now you can also select the other categories on the same way. It is also possible to select one group that contains all the speedcams. By doing this you will have to configure only one group.

Procedure Garmin:

When you have downloaded the zip file and store this somewhere on your computer, you need to extract this before you can use the speedcam files for the Garmin. To extract the files you can user the program winzip or the free program 7-Zip.

We will now open the zip file using the application 7-Zip and extract the contents to a tempory directory.

Those files will be later on picked up bu the POILoader application of Garmin.

To install speecams on your Garmin you need the POILoader software, Garmin POILoader

Your device will be automaticly find. When this isn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t the case please press the button "Find Device". If your device is still not found please check if your device is supported (at the Garmin site) and if you have installed the latest software version of Garmin. Please contact Garmin about this.

Press the "Browse" button and select the directory we used to store the speedcam files during the extracting paragraph

Select the correct directory where the speedcam files are located (in our case garmin_data) and press "OK"

Press "Next"

You are ready to hit the road :) The speedcams are all installed on your Garmin system. You will now be notified for speedcams (GATSO).
