I was wondering if any of you fine folks had tried the Halfords Chain Wax 400ml - What are your thoughts on this stuff?

Tried it and still have the can, nearly full. made the chain look like it was covered in candle wax. Until it got dirt in it then just looked nasty. Using muck off chain lube at the minute and its clear and does the trick. I like a shiny looking chain, just wish I had the drive to make it that way  :)

I quite like wax in the winter when the roads are salty - it stops the side plates of the chain from turning brown.

I have this problem almost constantly, clean the chain, lube it and then a few days later it is turning brown again. I hate that, cause it's not good for the chain and makes it look like you don't care.

When it's due for change I am considering getting one of the DID heavy duty gold chains. We'll see if that helps keep the brown stuff away.
