Hello from Wiltshire
« on: February 26, 2009, 14:38:45 »
Been browsing the site for a while so thought I'd say hello.  Late to biking and only did my test a couple of years ago when my brother gave me a G-reg GSX750F to make room in his garage.
Moved up to a 1000GT last year and have so far used it for my commute from Devizes to Swindon and a 5-day trip to Germany - hope to do it again this year.
Won't be contributing with offers of help or advice as I don't in all honestly know much.

Hello and welcome.

The GSX750F is a very reliable bike. I bought the 600 after passing my test and then got the 750 4 years later as it was so reliable. Only changed when I decided I needed better engine braking while conducting observed rides for the IAM. Went for the DL1000GT also!
Live for today, tomorrow never comes!

That's quite a nice ride from Devizes to Swindon too :thumb:  - it was part of my patch as a domestic appliance engineer.
No bike at present.......

Hi Piglumps (won't ask about the name??).
It is a good ride, either through the stone circle at Avebury which is great on early mornings or down Marlborough High St which is nice in the evening.  I work shifts so never have any rush hour traffic to worry about apart from the odd tractor.
