My intro to the forum
« on: January 14, 2024, 18:54:21 »
Hi all, I've just been accepted into the forum, thanks admin.
I currently own a 2008 DL1000, 14k miles, owned it since October '23, live in south Somerset. I'm fully retired and intending that the vstrom will take me to the picos in late spring and then the NC500 in autumn.
This is my 51st year of biking, owned many bikes and I am still getting used to the Vstrom, I find it lumpy at low revs which came as a disappointment and so I'm giving her a major service whilst the weather is a bit extreme.
I've joined the forum hoping to pick up useful info that might help address issues that I uncover. If there are any members down here, I'm not too far from west bay, I'd be please to join a ride out and coffee.
Rgds
Steve.

Welcome Steve.

Just up the coast a little from you in Weston-s-Mare.

I rode the NC500 plus in September a couple of years ago, it's well worth the ride, especially if you get to Inverness via the Cairngorms.
The older I get, the better I was.
