That would depend on whether Bikesure offer cover for the Rep of Ireland for a start.
Only way to find out is to ask. If they do provide cover but don't give discount then ask "Why not?"
With Adrian Flux insurance (who have many brand names) you have to keep pushing a little bit to get a good deal. I know someone who used to work there.

All was fine till they put me with Ageas who will not cover certain bikes and do not do multibike cover  as I found out earlier this year.

Hi,

No we don't cover The Republic of Ireland I'm afraid.

All was fine till they put me with Ageas who will not cover certain bikes and do not do multibike cover  as I found out earlier this year.

Sorry to hear this, if you wanted to PM me I'd be happy to look into this for you.

Kind Regards
Barry

I thought mine was due 19th of November, so did a quote, then found my old policy and it's the 23rd, just outside the 30 day bracket  :angry-banghead:

I'll try again next week, and hopefully the same prices come up cos they were way less than last year.  :obscene-drinkingchug:

My bike change to the Africa Twin led to a crazy price change! with only 2 months left on a policy that cost £123 for the year they wanted an extra £88!

I replied to the satisfaction survey and they credited me with half of the admin fee bringing it down £12.50 but still poor. Don't they know I now need a lot more money for petrol!

The problem with Bikesure is that they don't return calls, don't return emails and don't seem to want to sort out problems. I've had no problems until this years renewal which has been an absolute nightmare.

So Bikesure mess it up again. I renew my policy one week before it was due and they remove me from the motor insurance database (askMID). Two days into the new policy and I'm still showing as uninsured.

Not worth me getting a quote next week then.

If you do, make sure you read it carefully. My original quote included a mandatory requirement for a Thatcham or Sold Secure approved lock and chain. My lock and chain carry neither of those, but Bikesure accepted them anyway. When I questioned this/asked for the requirement to be removed, they insisted that what I use is OK and any theft claim wouldn't be affected. I have that in writing, just in case!
This is my second renewal and both last year and this year, my details were removed from the motor insurance database (I'm waiting for an explanation as to why), leaving me apparently 'uninsured' from a police ANPR point of view. I've never had this problem with any other insurer.
Beginning to regret signing up for a third year (too lazy to find an alternative), certainly won't be renewing again next year.

Check your documents have the right registration number. Mine was changed when I renew and it was only when I checked askMID that I realised (I had to have 4 sets of documents issued at renewal - the 3rd set appeared to be correct however I didn't notice they suddenly changed my reg number)

All the documents are correct and the renewal paid one week prior to expiry. Doing that I’d expect ‘continuous insurance’, but now they removed my details from the MID. They’ve been reinstated no, but I suspect only because I raised it with them.
Poor show Bikesure.
