Insta 360 as a ‘dashcam’ type thing.
« on: February 19, 2023, 20:21:24 »
I’ve looked at a couple of fixed front/rear camera systems, but I’m not keen, in part, because I’d like to have the ability to see to each side, and also when touring for off the bike videos and images, so I’ve bought an Insta360 One RS.
If you’re considering something like this, it works well, though the files are pretty big, but nevertheless I’ve been able to edit on a 2017 MacBook Air without much issue.

Quiet applause will do.

I also have this camera, all good but low light performance is really bad unfortunately...

Yes, I suppose you can’t have everything, but for most of my needs, I think it will do me well.
The same seems to apply o the fixed Viofo (and others) type things, it’s maybe unnecessary, bu I feel it’s worthwhile for me.
Quiet applause will do.

I've looked at the 360 cams, they look great for the footage you can get from them.

I normally use a Ghost X, however, I appear to have broken it trying to update the firmware... bugger. Just waiting for a reply from Drift as to a way to fix it! If not, I'll be looking for another cam.
