A pic of my new 1050, it’s not the fastest or sexiest bike I’ve ever owned but it’s a lovely thing to ride, looking forward to wracking up some miles this year🙂

My '19 Wee after half a day on the at times very slippery expert trail at the ABR.
Dropped 5 times due to blocked treads on the self fitted TKC 80's (4x low speed, once at 20-25mph)and only cracked the screen (will glue) and bent an aux light bracket (will bend back).
Be in NO doubt the DL650XT is a LOT more capable than many give it credit for, if the right accessories are bolted on, and it's ridden appropriately.
I LOVE MY WEEBEE!

On to the strip down and rebuild of my Montesa HRC Cota 315r next.
CRF250L or DRZ400 on the shopping list for the next bike/s after that, when I've saved enough pennies again.

[lol you might not think so when you see the spills footage down the line mate, couple of them are funny as fu..nny stuff
Thank the Gods for a great fitting lid, appropriate boots, neck, back, knee, hand and body protection.
The fastest off, headfirst into the grass verge at 20ish, was just like head butting a firm but soft and supportive Shoei pillow.
🤪🥴
Always wear appropriate kit, every time X

I collected the The Triumph 765 Street Triple R Low, today and 100 miles later tucked it away with the KTM. Fingers crossed the July weather is better than June's was.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Andy. Nice looking bike there. Seeing as though you have retired surely it can be used on  days other than Sunday?  :auto-dirtbike:

Decent run in nice weather, bit I think it may be time to move the bike on. I'm missing a big 4. Hoping to get another ZzR1100 before they all dissappear!

I just bought this 2018 1000 XA in March with only 8500 kms on it. Coming from a Honda ST1300 has been quite a change but I'm liking it!

I just need to find a top box that will fit between the narrow space between the side cases. Since the tops swing forward, there is only 16 inches of room between them.

Them panniers do sit high, to high. I think you'll need to use a small top box with them. Givi make 26, 32 and 37litre boxes that I'm sure will fit, the first two anyway. Yes they are the cheaper monolock base but I've used these for years with no trouble and on much faster bikes than a vstrom.  I've a 26 litre box on all the time and put the 32 or 47 litre ones on for weekend.
The 26ltre is 14 inch wide, 32 is 16 inch and the 47 is 22inch, hope this helps.

Thanks Porter. I see a couple you mentioned now. The first one below is a Givi E300 and the other is a GIVI B32NMAL. They say they use a supplied universal rack but not sure. Looks like I may also need a Givi SR1163 Top Box Rack.
