Suspension - mainly front...
« on: September 09, 2021, 11:57:03 »
Hi all.
Well, getting into my newly bought 2019 DL650, and basically loving it! Refreshing change after the Tiger Explorer!  :thumb:

However, I test rode a 2017 before purchasing, and was amazed at the front (and rear) suspension and how it soaked up the rough stuff. Unfortunately, the 2019 seems very hard (like operating a jack hammer when the road is quite uneven) and therefore the disappointment setting in.  :angry-tappingfoot:

The front suspension is not adjustable unless you take it into a specialist (happy to do that), so I thought I'd ask if this is a common issue. Could it be the oil viscosity and/or level? The springs? As it is a second hand bike, I have no idea what may have been done to it...  :fix:
Help please?

Obvious to some but have you thought of asking the previous owner ?

The rear should be adjustable  ..

Yeah, I know the rear is adjustable, just wondering about the front.
I have asked MCT (who I used before) and they said they have quite a few 650 owners who complain about this issue.
Taking the forks in for them to check...
