Crammed a few more miles in running some errands around town. Also got around to fitting the Puig rear hugger plus a Scottoiler eSystem.

Well following the West Wales Meet on August Bank Holiday, and discussions with other owners, I decided to trade in my old DL1000 or a newer DL650. Did not take me long to find one. So much easier to ride, I love it.

Hope to see some of you soon, otherwise see you at the next West Wales Meet.

Fitted a carbon mudguard extender getting ready for the sh#t weather hopefully this will protect the down pipes , engine area etc and make cleaning easier
Used 2 pack gorilla resin and its solid no screws or bolts giving it a better look I think

Finally got the last of the front caliper radial bolts out so I finished the pad change.

Exhaust gasket arrived from Suzuki Germany - there's £25 I won't see again

Put it all back together and then #1 son needed a lift today which scuppered the ride to work ... is it home time yet? I can hear the bike calling me

It is for me. :lala:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Loaded bike and ready to leave for Dover and then across to Slovenia / Croatia.

Will report back  :smirk: be interesting to see how 'scouts' wear and handle some gravel - initial brief tests impressive.

Be first big trip on Wee so looking forward to seeing how she fairs, very very impressed to date.

Two up and loaded so lets hope the hernia repair is strong - over two months ago and back to everything 'normal'...what's normal for me may not be for everyone

Only two weeks so see how we fair  :icon_wink:

I mailed my Power of Attorney obtained yesterday for £80+vat, to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (another £35), so the agent in Kazakhstan can get permission to extract my bike from the Police Station in Beyneu and charge me a small fortune to bring her home. After all we have been through it will be worth it in the end. Just hope the shoulder heals enough to be able to ride again. Currently back work selling Mazdas and driving autos to get home.

Thanks for the update even though clicking "like" feels a little unkind.

Yesterday on the way to Sheffield on the M1, I'd just passed Woolly Edge Services when at 248 miles on the range, the second low petrol warning light started flashing... I went as far as 268 miles before bottling it and taking the Rotherham turn off for petrol as I didn't want to breakdown on the inside lane of the 'smart' motorway. Although I didn't brim the tank, it took 16.86 litres. (Note to self, I can't ride Portishead to W. Yorks them back to Sheffield on 1 tank of petrol especially if the first low warning light starts flashing as you pass Sheffield on the way home).

I should hit 50,000 miles next week  :thumb:
