How do I adjust the Headlight Aim 02 model 1000?

Hello everyone, the workshop manual online tells me to turn the adjustment screws on the rear of the lights. Turning the screw anticlockwise removes a nut, clockwise does nothing. Can anyone advise me please?

Unfortunately not. Turn the nut one way and the nut unwinds and comes off. The other way and it tightens  up and nothing happens.
