If only road miles, don’t discount the Bridgestone BT23’s successors the T30, T31 and now T32.
After the OE tyres I had two sets of Michelin PR4s which I loved but when they discontinued the 19” fronts I didn’t fancy the PR5s as some rumblings of discontent on here. (Others love them)
After reading the posts here I asked my tyre bloke for BT23s but he suggested the T30s as the equivalent of the Michelin PR4s, and said T31s equivalent of PR5.
The T30s were really good in use, as good as PR4s, but were very soft and had to check for and dig out embedded stones after each ride.
They lasted just under 10k miles of mainly leisure riding in all weathers and as usual for me the front wore out first.
Asked for them again, but was suggested the new T32. I’ve only had them a couple of weeks but easily as good as PR4/T30s and seem a bit firmer as stones not getting embedded as much despite wholesale surface dressing in my area.
Similar price fitted, ride in ride out, to other makes at £265, the T30s were a bit cheaper (£230) 18 months ago but in the current climate I think everything has gone up!
