2017 Vstrom 650
« on: November 04, 2023, 12:20:42 »
Hi all,

Due to current lack of use I am reluctantly offering the strom up for sale. Its been a fantastic bike and has been excellent for the 3 or so years I have owned it, its such a shame to see it sit there when someone else can be enjoying it. Over the next couple of weeks I will give it a once over and a good clean - the pictures below is how it came out of the garage after being sat for 5 months.

2 owners from new, 18k miles. Oil and filter every 3-5k and will be refreshed for new owner. I havent yet checked the valve clearances, I was waiting for 20k miles but this is reflected in the price. Tyres in good condition, although rear just starting to square slightly. There is 1 cosmetic blemish where the water pump casing is just starting to blemish.

Accessories:
Centre stand - currently off and being painted.
Givi Airflow Screen,
Heated grips,
Suzuki belly cowl,
Bar risers - up and back 1".
Bigpie fuse box.
Givi top box and rack.
Please note Sat Nav mount will be removed.

Located just outside Hinckley in Leicestershire, can be delivered locally please contact me for a quote.

Forum member price is £4300 - It was going on trader at £4500.

Thanks, and any questions please message me!

Good luck with the sale.
Might help people to see it clean (bike too).
Don't forget to add if you have any service history / receipts to back things up etc?

I thought he had to remove the seat altogether.

And let the tyres down.

Wow! That was a quick sale, without even giving it a wash first too. It was already cleaner than my bike though I'm going out on it later and it's lashing down. It will be a lot cleaner when I get back. Well done with the sale, that was a very nice bike for the money.  :) :thumb:

Out of curiosity, how much did you sell it for?

Very cheap is the honest answer. I let it go for 4 grand but I put absolutely no effort into selling it, I only advertised it here and didn't wash it.

I actually managed to include the bike in a P/X deal on a motorhome with my current van so it was a win win however, it is a shame slightly as its a lot of bike for the money.

Sounds like you did well, given the pricy valve service due and similar bikes not much more at dealers. :thumb:
Surprisingly the price of Glees is overtaking that of the early newer model in places...

Not bad! Mine was purchased for a bit less than that, but double the mileage, and after all the bits I've replaced/fixed I'm probably not far off what you sold yours for!

Also due the valves soon.... bugger.
