Wee-Strom new owner
« on: October 18, 2023, 13:07:30 »
Afternoon all thought I should introduce myself
recently picked myself up a Wee-Strom 2nd hand locally. in black and yellow, 2018 5,500mile for £2,100

was a little off my radar in fact I didn't know they did a 250 (not a vee engine either) but looking at something 400cc ish with an adventure or sit up style and was looking at the Himalayans but that's sub 25bhp too.
after my k1200s that was trying to put points on my licence, was heavy, unreliable and the pot holes would send the fear up my spine! I just wanted something cheap, sedate and happy to buzz around the Devon A&B rodes happily in all the speed limits of todays roads in most weathers.

OK its not going to set the world on fire its pritty low powered but its light and "full size" and seems to be doing 75-80mpg and actually not bad to ride even on the stale fuel in it and the tyres only had 20psi in. headlight is fantastic I might add.

I'm 44 an ex automotive engineer, been a full bike licence holder for the last 24 years and volunteer as a mental health first aider for Mental Health Motorbike  :)

Well was a little bit of a shameless plug and Spreading the word of Mental health motorbike. You never know when or who might need some support and dare I say it us boys are the worst offenders of low self care and talking openly about our health and problems.

Nothing wrong with having clean hands and I'm hoping that you are referring to the use of autoglym?

Welcome from another Devonian, well I'm from Liverpool but have lived in Devon since 1986 and visited often before. Like you the V-Strom was off my radar before I was advised to look at one. I bought the first one I went to look at and have not been disappointed. Enjoy your bike on the lovely muddy wet roads of Devon.  :welcome2:
