Hi all
New to the group and VStrom ownership having added a '15 650 XT to the stable last week.
Really impressed so far. Great engine, quality mostly good for the money and well thought out. Not the most exciting ride but I'll be sharing riding duties with my son so it's forgiving nature will be welcome. I also intend riding all year round with a bit of light off road.
I'm sure I'll be along again once I get stuck into spannering. I'll be servicing it all myself as nothing seems at all difficult.
First on the 'to do' list;
Centrestand - DONE. I used a turntable for moving the bike around at home. Plus it's chain drive!
Change OEM handguards- they're pretty flimsy so will fit some more robust items prob Barkbusters
Spotlights - necessary in the murky conditions on the Moors. Probably Denali LED ones mounted to the crashbars but looking to see what others have done.
Somewhere for the GPS - again after ideas but like the look of the screen mount points used for a RAM ball
Powerlet socket near dash - can't decide whether to mount on the nice flat fairing area where the '17 MY does or one of those add on panels around the ignition?
