Hi - From Lincs
« on: October 18, 2008, 10:10:47 »
Hi,

I have a WEEVEE - DL650 the model with ABS, it has a rack, top box, main-stand, handguards and heated grips - used it for a while.

Amazed at the mpg and range - as a shortie have fitted a longer suspension link to lower and fited a one size up front sprocket. Found a 'Brake Master Cylinder Cover' meant for a Burgman 650 - with RAM ball mount fits the DL650 and leaves a tidy way to mount the GPS. Managed to wire this into the battery and under the 'side fairing'.

Compare reasonably well to some other bikes I have had (amongst a long list a couple of BM's) in most areas although finish is not or doesn't seem quite so good. The bike wasn't 'new' but a 'used buy' and I think the previous owner may have kept this outside hence a bit of corrosion on the disc-brake mounts and a few fasteners. For the price though am pleased with the bike.

Only thing I keep toying with would be some 'crashbars' and 'skidplate' (maybe from the X model) although these seem a bit pricey.

Cheers

Mark

Hello Mark, welcome in

I have had my DL1000 K6 from new, it has seen some rain but it is not used as a commuter and is kept in a building overnight and still I have the signs of corrosion

Apparently the answer is  "It's a Suzuki"
