Hi, I'm Tim from Yorkshire.
Just looking to buy a DL1000 GT. Looks like a nice piece of kit and I've decided this is the bike for me!!
Just wondered if I should be aware of any problems encountered by any of you existing owners?
I needed something that I can ride all year round, commute to work and get to all my rallies.
The GT seems like a great package.
I considered the BMW GS800 & Buell Ulysses before settling on the V Strom
Cheers
Tim

Welcome in
Fine choice of bike... If you are using it all year round you may need a tin of ACF-50 (it's a Suzuki)

Hello, DL will do all you require, shop around and you can save a bit on one, I paid 6500 for a new GT.
Welcome to the site and hope to see you about :-)

Tim - to answer your question...........er, no. Nothing, de nada, rien. That's the trouble with Stroms - they lack character (character being defined by the motorcycling press as spurious and unpredictable electrical faults, bits of subframe spontaneously detaching themselves, siezing shaft drives - that sort of thing) ;)
-
We had a builder who used to shout 'Character' every time he knocked a lump out of something that he wasn't supposed to ###

ello Tim........I thought I was from the North....
