FINALLY!!!

Got mine fitted today at Biketreads in Swindon, rode in at 0900, rode out at 0925, £50! I now realised why it was reluctant to turn into corners, the back was squared off more than Mr Rectangle's Extra Square Things!

Though the release compound has still to be fully worn off the difference is incredible, next stop fork brace and perhaps dropping the forks through a bit. Job done..
No bike at present.......

Just had front & back fitted (Weds) whilst I waited at Ian Brown Tyres in Malton.
Did a great job. Sticky from the off, but couldn't get back to York quick enough ... ffffreeezing ...

5,000 miles front and back still going strong. Still would not change them for anything else, been great through the winter used every day to work and back.....

Got my PR3 rear tyre replaced yesterday. 5000miles on it and the front is only half worn. Had to get it changed to pass the mot on monday, otherwise I would have eeeked up to another 500-1000 miles

If its only half worn why did it need changing for the MOT?

Hi

At some point I may manage to wear out the stock Trailwings on my bike

Up to now have looked at all comments and decided on Anakees
Now have read this thread and the good reviews

So does anyone have any
a) real world comparison of Anakee vs PR3
b) theoretical (easy to understand) advice of the differences and alleged benefits of each?

cheers

I've used both the PR3s and Anakee 2s, road use only. My opinion is that the PR3s are better for road use, but there is not a massive difference.
Now on a Super Tenere having put 64k miles on a 2011 DL650

A thousand ,miles or so later...and all I can say is the PR3s are great tyres compared to the death wings.
Excellent grip in dry and wet. Confidence inducing rubber.
Had the usual scares in uneven corners, but they calm immediately after a little bounce - unlike the Deathwing skitters. So I am happy.
Next will be more of the same if the wear is reasonable. On a wee twin putting down about 65bhp, they should last ages. I'd only get 2500 off the Fireblade's back tyre - but we are talking 150+bhp and an HND in hooliganism.
