Glee aftermarket exhausts
« on: September 17, 2018, 08:51:56 »
Hello fellas, I'm thinking of changing my std exhaust to aftermarket simply as I think the std set up sounds to fluffy. I've looked at a few but none of them seem to come with a heat shield on. For those of you that have changed them does this create a issue for the pillion? I also don't see many of them about with them fitted, is there a reason for this ? Running issues, aesthetics,  so if you have any images of your strom that you wouldn't mind posting I would appreciate seeing them. :ty:

Would that fit the L2? I can't see it on their website.

2012 - 2016 should be the same?

It's brand new, they have sent a few out for testing and I think they are ready to officially launch them in a couple of weeks. I have asked Delkevic for a link/pricing.

FWIW, my son's bike has a carbon can on it, and we can put our hands directly on it after he's ridden home from work, so I'm assuming that the carbon cans dissipate heat more efficiently and so don't need a heat shield to protect the pillion's leg (or Your panniers I guess)!

I'm thinking of going for the Delkevic carbon can on my Glee, but I'm stingy so I'm letting the original get a bit more tatty before I replace it :)

Ray,

I'm sure they already do a Carbon/Black option. It's only the Titanium that is new. Give them a call (tell them you are a member here).

Hi fellas, had this email today.
The photo that was attached is the same one that's in the link that fat rat posted.

Hello ray,

In terms of availability, I would expect to have them on the website https://delkevic.co.uk/s/Suzuki/DL650%20V-Strom%20(2012-2016)/2016  in a few weeks’ time. The part number is KIT05H2 Target price is £369.99 Inc VAT for the Titanium De-cat Silencer and link pipe kit with the Carbon effect silencer hanger strap.
I have attached a photo of the silencer. Sorry all I have at this moment, but it gives you hopefully an idea.
Regards
Eva
