that's a very stealthy looking strom you got there. Like the exhausts you got on it. What breed of tyres you got fitted to her, they look a bit all terrian type.

I've got Avon Distanzia's fitted and rate them highly, great feel, quick turn-in & incredibly grippy in the dry and equally good feel and secure in the wet. They even perform well off-road, gripping to tracks and (very) light mud, they also dispence with on-road gravel and assorted detritus with ease. The cans are Quill carbon oval T3's, road legal (gawd know's how) with a lovelly fruity bark. Cheers, Bry   :thumb:

Crikey that looks a lot more shiny than my K9.. that said mine does go out in pretty much all weathers, even did the snow a couple of times
Am quite tempted by a pair of the  distanzias once I can finally get rid of the oem boots

You won't regret the Distanzia's, they suit the 'Strom well. I've had them on a Varadero and a couple of Transalp's and I personally can't fault them, Bry.

what handlebars have you got on there? They look tall especially with your risers, no cable trouble I take it?

They are the standard bars with 25mm risers and the cross brace from a pit bike (£1.99 on ebay). No cable troubles as such but just had to re-cable tie the wiring, in fact the 30mm risers you can get would fit OK too. I suspect the 50mm risers will lead to trouble & cost !

aye, I suspect you may well be right about 50mm! the photo makes your bars look higher than stock, must be the brace! Have some 615 renthals on mine (no risers) and have had no cable troubles either. I have heard that there is more of an issue with the ABS models, less brake hose to play with.

The extra height is nice eh? should come as standard!

I quite agree, they should do 'short', 'standard' and 'tall' versions ! I've got the +20mm seat and it's way more comfortable than the standard offering, but coupled with the +25mm links on the rear suspension it's a long way up. Mind you the 17 1/2 stone brings it down...

p.s. just realised this is my 1,000th post  :thumb:
