Shuffling across
« on: May 17, 2021, 20:48:05 »
After over eight years of Weestrom ownership picked this up today so moving over to Traitors corner.
Still got the Wee but should have a new home shortly.

Stunning

Enjoy  :lala:

Very nice and a very restrained amount of orange  :thumb:
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

You could always paint the wheels orange....

I can't wait for the confusion from other bikers when we go for a chippy run and trying to convince them we are all V-Strom forum members!

Is the top box an attempt to keep one foot out of the corner  :thumb:

I'm discovering as said by current owners on here of the KTM 1*90 adventures it's a hell of a bike but also they're quite right, the standard screen is bloody awfull :)

I thought that was a Wings exhaust, proper job.

A deflector, a selection of spacers and a 1290T headlight mask have transformed the comfort for me. Creating a decent gap between the screen and the headlight made a significant difference but we are all different. Givi Airflow doesn't receive much love on these, MRA with a spoiler is quite popular.

@Rixington it is indeed a Suzuki box, I bought it from a fellow inmate for £20 several years ago. It does everything a spendy one does with the added benefit of it having plenty of battle scars so the new ones blend in.

Yeah rusty not complaining that mine came with full luggage (about thirteen hundred quids worth new ) but already considering a different top box, maybe even the Powerparts KTM/Shad colour coded one.
The way I use the bike the panniers will probably go up in the loft and stay there until I sell it lol
@TL Screen wise got used to a really good set up on the Wee so will have to do something but will all be well worth it as the bikes that good :thumb:

Mine came with panniers - used once - but no top box. I had to fork out for a Givi plate so I could use my Kappa Trekker. I occasionally think If I could pick a slightly smaller, more aerodynamic top box up at a good price I might.

Over simplifying but this works well for me on the Wee so maybe just a BIG MRA screen...

That is a lovely bike and so thoughtful of someone to fit a microwave and two desk to refrigerators.  If I were just 20 years younger ...... oh! well.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.
