I watched this yesterday and thought the same. It must be impressive.

We had one here last week, the fella said he enjoyed it but it wasn't comfortable at Motorway speeds (vibey).

IMHO the Yamaha is not in competition with the 650 Strom as very few Stroms are sold to riders who intend to use it off road. Some will be happy on tracks and maybe a few more will venture down lanes with grass and moss down the middle. The remaining 95% will only ride on the road and there's nothing wrong with that. So why pay £1100 more than the very capable 650 XT for the "Tenere 700" and  £2440 more for the "Rally Edition" just to ride it on the road.

I seriously considered a 700 Tenere before I bought my current Guzzi. The biggest problem (in more ways than one) was that I have more arse then the Yam' has seat... It's like a lightly upholstered stick not a proper seat at all, very narrow. I never even bothered to test ride because I was so uncomfortable just sitting on it in the dealers. They look great and I'm sure the motor is a peach but try before you buy.
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'
