I don't class myself as a traitor as I own a V-strom but this is my other toy, my Vincent Comet. I also used to own a Vincent Black Shadow but wrote that off in 2010. The Shadow was built for touring and the photo is of me setting off for a 7000 mile trip to Istanbul and back to Wales over 7 weeks in 2010. I crashed the bike a week after I got back on a short trip to Belgium when the back wheel fell to bits at 95MPH on a Belgium motorway. Broke my neck and the GF broke both her legs, said I would never buy a bike with spokes and what have I just bought, a V-strom with spokes

My dad has a Comet, but when he went away to sea his mom buried it and it was never found. She couldn’t bear to see it, as both he and his brother had Comets from their business together, and his brother was killed on his.
