How did you manage to find that one? I only managed to find D3117ST which I just received yesterday.

Bonne - how are you getting on with the screen? I also purchased the 3117ST screen and mounted it yesterday. It’s HUGE!
I’m 180cm tall and I can’t see over the screen, I’m looking through it.
Which is OK in perfect weather conditions but yesterday riding home from work at night it was raining and that, combined with car headlights, street lights etc, made for pretty poor visibility.
I will look at getting the screen shortened a bit.

Sorry to get back this late. I have been offline from this site.

I have also not been driving much MC because of the weather. I think actually only a couple of things.

I am 200 cm, so for me, the height is perfect, but I think I should not be shorter... then I would also look through the screen.

I haven't tried the airflow that you can adjust... but I think this one I got is better to break the wind. at least I have not been annoyed with any buffeting for now... but I have not been driving a lot as I mentioned.

Pook'in 'eck that is a ma-hu-sive screen !!

I had a Givi Airflow on my previous bike, a (great) V Strom 650 2017.

Now I've got the same loverly Red/White 1050XT I am thinking of getting a screen just a bit bigger, but to be honest, I do not want to go back to having a barn-door (even though it was supremely effective) on my bike.

Will keep on looking at other options, maybe some of the other manufacturers can improve buffeting at 80-ish with just a little more screen size....

How did you get on with shortening the 3117ST screen?

I installed one yesterday and took it off again this morning...  I'm 188 tall, like you looking through the screen rather than over it.  Riding in the dark yesterday evening I would consider dangerous.  Went down into a pocket of mist and suddenly I'm blind as the screen has immediately covered with water droplets.  At times on unlit country roads I couldn't make out the side of the road.  It was like looking through a thick, old visor.

The only plus point I could see was I had my visor open all way through the ride.

I had an Airflow on my previous bike and much preferred that.  I bought the 3117ST as I couldn't see the point of buying an adjustable screen to fit on an already adjustable mount...  My mistake.

One D3117ST screen available at big discount if anyone wants it.

I had a Givi Airflow on a 2012 BMW R1200GS and it worked brilliantly.  I fitted one to a F750GS and it was a nightmare with buffeting and shockwaves hitting my helmet which felt and sounded like someone patting the top of my head.   :)  That said, I have always had success with Givi Screens on V Stroms; they are high quality as well.

I have had a few Givi Airflows and whilst the one on a R1200GS worked brilliantly others were not so successful.  All imo look

I bought a few weeks ago a D3117ST which others note is rather ( :icon_exclaim:) tall.  What Givi were thinking, I don't know.  I cut mine down by 10cm using a Jigsaw and fine blade and finished it with various grades of Sand Paper.  It worked well and with it angled back by using 1/2" spacers on the bottom bolts, now gives a clean non buffeting ride.

After reading all the reviews, I think the Givi AirFlow, while looking enormous, is still the best solution if after effective over looks. Will avoid the Givi D3117ST. Will probably go for it as I had so much success with the AF on my 650 Strom, as I am getting to the point where I really want to minimise the amount of wind flow as I did on my 650. Thanks everyone for your helpful input/thoughts/comments !  :ty:
