Green laneing/light off road
« on: November 27, 2023, 07:42:16 »
Hi everyone, I’m going to the Abr next year and thinking of taking the 650 around the trail track. Currently on the originalA40’s. What tyres would you use for the abr. total novice on off road riding.

Thanks

Very much depends on the weather I think.
I took my Vee round 2/3s of the trail last year on Anakee Adventures which I like a lot as a mixed terrain tyre. I would say most bikes on the main trail were running proper knobblies but equally I got skinned by a bloke on a Honda Crosstourer running full street tyres. It was my first real off road experience and the tyres felt perfectly up to the job as long as I took it steady. If it was muddy though I would be thinking very differently. The trail is very well designed and gets progressively harder with multiple advanced opt ins and bail out points.
