Wow! That is a thing of beauty. Does it go as good as it looks? Thank you for the picture, I may dream that I'm riding that tonight.  :) :thumb:

@Rusty that is a thing of beauty, I take it it’s a feather bed frame with a Vincent engine ?
Upside down forks maybe from a Suzuki GSXR ?

Definitely a featherbed, definitely HRD Vincent engine. Gearbox, wheels, suspenders, brakes are all unknown to me. I've not been to see this one yet. Forks will very likely be wearing a pair of these labels. It raises the odd eyebrow.

How Fantastic to build a bike like that 👍
I take it he has built other stuff before ?
In the early 90s a bloke I used to talk to about bikes in the pub, he was a engineer and he built a bike up using a featherbed frame his dad had & using a Reliant 600 engine Turned round in the frame, he Billet made engine plates etc.
I did take a picture or 2 they must be up in the loft the next time the wife is up there I will see if she can find them.

Mick has been building and altering bikes for well over 30 years. For his wedding he built a rigid Triumph chop in his spare bedroom, set fire to the carpet during welding, and rode it downstairs when finished. He fitted 3 Webers on his CBX along with modern Kawasaki running gear, built a supercharged Triumph, a Tribsaki, numerous Tritons, G50 cafe racer, Weslake cafe racers, Norton cafe racers, now this. He loves doing it, and knows what he's doing. He can out drink and out party anyone I've met, and is a thoroughly nice chap to boot.

He used to be a globetrotting engineer for printing machines. Banknotes, credit cards, all top security stuff. Got tired of travelling and went to work at a company building G50 replica engines for racing. A very well suited move.
