different mirrors is a well-noted aid in reducing turbulence - quite a few of us on here run aprillia tuono mirrors, mostly bought from rocket centre in blackburn :)

Never seen anyone fit mirrors there or indicators at that place on the bike. I'd think those indicators are worse off there than in the stock position.

Yep, granted but at least mirrors & indicators are relatively cheap and if you have an off, they are both gone no matter where they are mounted.
The idea is food for thought though.
Maybe BMW are not as silly as some people make out? (1100/1150/1200 RT models)

Don't those mirrors obstruct the handlebars when attempting "full-lock"?
It's not so easy to tell from the pictures.

I know buffeting differs from person to person (taller, wider, shorter, thinner etc) but I'll share my buffeting solution in case it helps others (worth a shot if you're "debugging")

I got a wider windscreen from slipscreen... 2.5" wider on both sides (so 5" wider in total). With the Madstad bracket it doesn't obstruct the handlebars and stock mirrors on full-lock. I've found that the height of the windscreen is irrelevant (so let's assume stock) so long as you angle it back ever-so-slightly (perhaps as little as 5 degrees)

I think it would cause a fair bit of fairing damage if it was dropped ! I also tested my Wee without mirrors and couldn't tell any difference .

the mirrors on the old gits Deauville are in that sort of location, and the indi's molded into the front fairing.

Different bike but very little buffeting until well past legal speeds... so I've been told!  :shy:

a better idea would have been to put some flush mounted indicators just in-front of the mirror stalks.

An even better idea would be having the indicators as an integral part of the mirror backs. I think ???? I recall seeing those on something recently?

I meant put the mirror stalks where the OEM indicator went like in the VSRI page, then put flush mounted indicators on the fairing panel just infront of the 'new' indicator mounts. not on the bars.
