Clanking noise

Hi All!!
Just got back from a trip from UK to Italy and back yesterday and I have noticed that in the last 200 miles I can hear a "clanking" noise when accelerating from low speed but then the bike seems fine at 70mph or so...
I think the noise is coming from the chain area but could not be sure... any ideas?

Well first of all, welcome to the little party we are having here, pull up a chair and introduce yourself..............







as for the clanking noise
1/ chain tension, check it as you have done a relatively high mileage
