Congratulations Jack! I still remember my first run out on my MZ back when I was 16. I'd never felt such a sense of freedom before and it was brilliant! I hope he felt the same after his first run! He's a tall lad though. He needs to get on a Strom at the earliest opportunity! :)

My first run was 00:01 am on my 16th Birthday and I only did a mile and a half.

Had to get up for an "O" Level exam the next morning.

A day he won't forget and welcome to the world of biking.

My first run was on my 16th birthday on a Triumph Tina  !!!!   Unbelievable power and a fantastic sense of freedom to go anywhere anytime, except when it broke down :bawl:

Wonder what one of those is worth today?

Anyway, congrats on our new addition to biking :welcome2:

Had to look up a Triumph Tina, and there are two on Ebay,

Number One (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-Tina-1964-B/311248921788?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D28b8233fbbeb487aa3daf759c2902de6%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D231461212586&rt=nc#ht_1291wt_1382)
Number Two (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-Tina-1964-B-/311248921786?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4877e1a4ba#ht_1291wt_1399)

Both are £2595 and are from the same seller.

Stone the Crows!!!!!!!

Wish I had it now

Old/classic bikes are selling for stupid money.

I had a BMW Isetta Bubble car after that. Now well over £20k for a decent one.

Apology for thread hijack

Thread hijack? I'm not sure I've ever seen a thread stay on-topic!

Did I ever tell you about the time when I tried to do a loft conversion on a building with a flat roof...?

lol

I had one of these. As ugly as a pig with lipstick but faster than my mates bikes!

Did it have pedals? They're worth a mint now.

Yes it did Paul, I'd love to get my hands on one to restore. I've seen a few at the right money over the years. One day..
