Madstad type brackets and Cymarc Engineering
« on: November 17, 2010, 23:00:10 »
Some time ago it was mentioned that Mark was to develop a Madstad type screen bracket and was just wondering if there were any updates about this product.
While I'm on the subject I had a 2009 Deauville 700 before the Wee, and the pre 2008 version of this model which started in 2004 had an adjustable screen which had 2 positions namely high and low.  To adjust the height on these models took about 15 mins of spanner work to invert the screen brackets.  I am sure that Madstad type brackets could be adapted to suit this machine fairly easily.  I would think that many owners of this model would be only too glad to have the easy adjustment this type of bracket would allow. It might be worth a little more investigation which I would do myself if I had the time available.
http://www.deauvilleuk.org/forum/ would be a good place to start carrying out a bit of research to gauge interest.
Hope I'm not trying to teach Granny etc. must be worth a try though.

Cheers
