Re: water leaks  I watched a good review on this jacket and in it he explained that the vent zip heads need to be pushed all the way up and into the covering or the jacket will leak.  The head should disappear under the covering, if that makes sense, then it will not leak.  Hope that helps!

the leak seems to be where the elastic is in the upper arm, there are no zips there. I have seen other reports about this problem  aswell even on here

Or does the jacket need a size smaller model?

I always carry an outer waterproof layer rather than relying on the jacket to do it's job.

I have an ancient Frank Thomas one piece that has kept me dry in biblical deluges on long rides, though I did buy a two piece suit last year to avoid the theatrics of the one-piece.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I have ridden through torrential rain in mine and stayed dry. That includes hours of motorway in Europe. But I wash it and Nikwax it every year.
My only criticism is that the sleeves are a bit narrow.

Sadly, my jacket has been sent back.  :groan:

40mins in the rain, my stomach got wet and then the collar popper ( if that's what it's called) broke ..

Not getting it replaced as of yet....

I'd hoped I was just unlucky with my Montreal jacket, but perhaps not going on others' experiences here.
I really liked the fit of the jacket, the venting, pockets etc.... but the sleeves leaked quite badly (and I  was careful about parking the zip-sliders!) , and one of the sleeve zips has broken - teeth come away from the fabric. Too late for a warranty claim, unfortunately, so it's now a summer-only jacket.
