A new member from the Varadero clan !
« on: March 10, 2009, 19:35:20 »
Hi folks, as the header says I'm a convict er no, er convert ! Hailing from darkest Northumberland I will be found mostly around the Scottish borders on sunny days ! Sold the (very heavy, but comfy) Varadero last year and have picked up a (lovelly and light, relatively) GT model and 'pottered' on with it over the winter. Higher bars, 25mm jack up kit, stiffer fork springs, tall seat option (£80 well spent, at 6'2" it gives much better legroom), tall MRA screen (excellent), engine bars and sump guard , 43 tooth rear sprocket, removed the secondary throttle butterflies, K&N filter and a pair of Quill carbon ovals ! First few rides have shown it to steer sooo much quicker than normal with no loss of stability - bring on the summer !

See you all out there, regards, Bry. :thumb:

Welcome fellow convert. I have also swapped from Varadero this year, have to agree Strom is a better bike overall.

Wow, doesn't time fly when you're having fun ! I can hardly beleive it was as a year ago today I took my first tentative steps onto this forum. Since then I have learned about my V-Strom, helped others with their V-Strom's, had a laugh, bought & sold things and generally mucked about and enjoyed myself (and managed over 1000 posts in a year). I hope this continues for may years, mostly because I couldn't find anything suitable to replace the 'Strom but mostly because I enjoy the 'crack' on this very forum, cheers everone, Bry   :thumb:
