My name is Berndi (Bernhard), I'm 36 years old and I ride a blue VEE K03 since 2003.
Until now I only poked around in the german and austrian v-strom boards, and I hope to find some new, helpful or interesting information about our hobbyhorse from this nice community.

:welcome2: and the fork brace looks interesting, might be worth putting an english translation on here, I liked the pictures but sadly didn't understand a word of the text, from what I can guess you make your own CNC forkbraces?
Edit: never mind did it myself ;)

@doublevodka
Wow... me and my english knowledge... :shy:
But I'll try...
My fork brace is waterjet cutted and made of stainless steel what makes me able to design it more graceful and not so clumsy and ugly like the aluminum braces. It has only 550 gramm and has much more stiffness compared to aluminum!
The surface is powder coated in black (RAL 9005).
Original I made it only for me, but in the meantime I made more than 200 pcs. I wrote about the good experiences with the fork brace in the german board just for fun, but till now I sold it from Sweden to Greece... . It' was a lot of work!!
The fork braces are for DL-1000 / KLV (Type 1) and DL-650 (Type 2)
(hope my english is correct...)

Don't worry too much about your English, it's much better than my German lol
If possible, could you give us some prices for your fork brace for both the DL1000 and DL650 that include shipping costs to the UK?

Hi Juvecu,
The price of a fork brace is 87,-EUR.
Don't forget, it's made of stainless steel 1.4301 and not aluminum!!
The next and perhaps the last production batch will start in September. Shipping in December or Jannuary. I do all the work by myself (except the waterjet cutting and powder coating) - that takes time...
You can choose between insured or uninsured shipment. If you need more pieces, the shipment gets cheaper for each (perhaps centralised buying, or so). Parts are sent by mail.
Insured Shipment incl. packing:
1 pc. -- 15,- EUR
2 pcs. -- 16,-EUR (8,- apiece.)
3 or 4 pcs. -- 17,-EUR (5,66 EUR or 4,25 EUR apiece)
or more pcs.?
Uninsured Shipment incl. packing:
1 pc. -- 9,50 EUR
PayPal fee is (it's the cheapest way to send money from the UK to Austria!):
5,00 EUR for 1 pc.
8,50 EUR for 2 pcs.
11,50 EUR for 3 pcs.
15,00 EUR for 4 pcs.
For example:
Total price for 1 fork brace including insured shipment and PayPal fee: 107,00- EUR
Total price for 1 fork brace including uninsured shipment and PayPal fee: 101,50- EUR
Total price for 2 fork braces including insured shipment and PayPal fee: 198,50- EUR (99,25- EUR/pc.)
Total price for 3 fork braces including insured shipment and PayPal fee: 289,50- EUR (96,50- EUR/pc.)
Total price for 4 fork braces including insured shipment and PayPal fee: 380,00- EUR (95,00- EUR/pc.)
Because of I don't earn any money with it (the price is only the production cost for material, waterjet cutting, tools, machine costs, powder coating, and so on), I can't do it cheaper. I'm sorry...
My salary for this is only the applause! This is a special service for my friends!
If you are still interested in my fork brace please sent a email ( berndi73@gmx.at ).
Thank you!
