A little update on the ones I ordered on the 6th of this month, still haven’t been dispatched. I believe Nate was running the 15% discount across different forums and has subsequently had a significant uplift in sales, which exhausted his stock.

Give him his due, whenever I reach out to him, he comes back to me pretty quickly. He assures me that my order should be dispatched by early next week. Let’s hope so....

There is a groups buy going on in the Netherlands. If more units send, it will reduce the shipping costs. than they can send it as 'bulk' to one Address. We found a transporter for sending the units from Austria to the Netherlands. Complete LED ( 650 (L7-L9) and 1000 (L4-L9 unit, including Tax, shipping, import duties, will be for the groups buy around €425,= (euro) that's £375,= GBP. Everything will be send to one address and I will send it from the Netherlands to the UK. Till December 2020 there are no import duties from The Netherlands to the UK.

If you want to join this groups buy,( until 30 April), send me a PM or email.

Thanks,

Peter

I’ve been communicating with another supplier based in Denmark, when I asked where the lights were produced this is the reply I received:
It looks identical to the hog lights unit, and if you go to the site (see the bottom of this message) you can see it for yourself.

“The headlight is not made in Australia.
The electronic circuit board is made in Taiwan and designed by us with our specifications. It’s also E-marked and CE-approved by us with all the matching number visible on the glass.
The headlight comes with 5 year warranty because we only sell high quality.

It is correct that we had 15% discount at a show earlier this year.

If you buy it now I can offer you 10% Easter discount and free shipping.”

Sincerely

Looks decent  :thumb:

My unit still hasn’t been dispatched (purchased on 6th March).

To be honest, I am getting a little impatient now.

Ticker - if you cancel your order with hog lights and go with the Danish supplier I’m fairly sure you’ll get it within days (obviously check this if that’s the route you choose).
Also curious as to wether you’ll be paying any duty on the Ozzy product, either way would really like to hear your views on fitting / performance etc.  :thumb:

The Danish unit sounds like the way to go. At least it is an "E" marked unit.

You’re both right. I thought exactly the same, so I contacted Allan at Full Blast - made some enquiries; The light is approved for UK road use and is aligned neutrally, so shouldn’t Negatively affect oncoming vehicles etc. They also had the light in stock, ready to dispatch. Unfortunately, the discount mentioned above was a promotion they were running beforehand and could no longer offer it. Nonetheless, Allan is a great chap to speak to and very helpful.

I also contacted Nate down under at Hoglights and requested a refund. Fair doo’s within 20 minutes the refund was made.

I’ve purchased the unit at Full Blast and have the tracking details already.

Once delivered and installed, I’ll start a new thread and give you my opinions.  :thumb:

Just as an aside standard light unit (gen 3) - £334
But on the new 1050 XT it’s a rather tasty £674
Hope you mentioned my name when you made that purchase Ticker - I want a discount lol

lol  Hermes  lol I had a fuel delivery for the Sheffield delivery hub last week.
A quarter of the depot was filled with damaged parcels that had been left outside and they were "surprised" by a rain storm. I asked what was happening with the parcels and was glumly told "skip".
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

There was an interesting if not frustrating program on TV a few days ago about lost property.

Without rain, there would be no rainbows.

Well 7 days later, the headlight has arrived from Full Blast Inc. Great service from them, and are very pleasant and helpful company.

Rather than hijacking the OP’s thread, I’ll start a new one with a review included in due course  :thumb:

Hi all - know this is an old topic, but looking to do exactly the same upgrade, but before I take the plunge, wondered how you blokes were getting on with the units - have they proved reliable??? and more so, is the light output significantly better than standard??
