Yes, in the UK, animal mentality is a common sight in situations like this.  :groan:

I'll admit our quaint customs may seem odd to an outsider. These people are all friends, just exercising in the open air. It's a bit like capoeira in Brazil. It may look like fighting, but it is simply a graceful choreographed dance. Come snd visit our funny, friendly little island. They'll let you join in

    Bonne, don’t believe everything you see on social platforms, we have no fuel problems in the country overall, just a few built up areas where idiots are are panicking and topping up every time they need a few litres.I have filled the bike up twice in the past week and in the first station there was only me using the pumps and the second one there were 4 pumps in use out of 7 and no queue at all.I have just been out in the car and passed about 10 stations with no queues at all.It was media hype that caused the panic in the first place, if the BBC and ITV had never made it their “main” news story it would never have happened.

An unfortunate photo of visitors to our island who don't understand the British concept of queuing patiently.

Or, just as Ianmc said. An exaggeration from the media that promoted unnecessary panic.

Which will likely continue in the South East, all 8 stations are empty down here...
I have already emptied the fuel from the ninja into the Mrs car.
Have tried to avoid it, but will have to join stupid queues next week...grr.
May your God go with you...

In his defence, I don't think it is trolling. The US and the rest of Europe are incredulous with the situation here.  Here in the SW, fuel availability is getting better apart from in the most urban areas, but it's all still very patchy in the south east.

I am Danish living in Sweden. I got it from the national Danish news. Should be correct enough (South East England)

I would love to come and visit UK (again) but my gas tank is not big enough for me to return back to Sweden (;

 :text-goodpost:

Edit. I had planned to come back to visit family and friends this Autumn with Covid restrictions lifting generally across Europe. However, the general atmosphere of queueing in a UK petrol station doesn't entice me with a foreign number plate on both car and bike. Well done those 'few' brawlers and the rest of panicdemic! And on top of it all I don't know if there's a Thanksgiving turkey to be had.........  :shock:
So how's it going so far then?

Cheers, Rusty, exactly that :thumb:.   I had thought the  :icon_wink:  gave it away!

A really weak (read 'shit' ) joke however :whistle:  :)

Gassoon, you are far more intellectual than I.
Well played.  :clap:
