Cruiser for the Summer!
« on: May 03, 2021, 22:34:40 »

Added a 3rd bike. Something to wear my open face helmet and amble along on if it gets a bit warmer! Had a Kawasaki VN900 Custom like this a few years back so fancied another. Not made any more so took the plunge when this low mileage nice condition 2016 came up near me. Just added a sissy bar so might try pillion with the Mrs. Surprisingly nice handling for a cruiser. I have long legs and this gives a kicked out stance. Have to think when I get back on the DL with mids! Even more on the ZZR with slight rears. Just managed to get them in the garage and out without moving 2 but no more now I think. Well that's what the wifey says.  :)

I have a single garage, I had 5 in there at one point.
It's not that easy to manage as the bike you want to ride is always at the back.

4 is not so bad with an empty path down the middle, but he CX500 is more a garage ornament, it's right over to the storage of parts and hasn't seen daylight in years.

Jen wanted a VN900 but I convinced her out of it with the effort it required for her to lift it off the side stand.
I don't know why it feels so much heavier than the 800 Intruder??? (Guilty pleasure... I wanted a M800Z before I bought the Wee, still want one, though now I'm less sure why I have that desire. )

I've had 2 Intruders, 2 VN900's and 4 Harley's. I like cruisers but like all styles of bike. Gear, journey and weather all different depending on what I'm on. I wave to all bikers but some riders are picky! Room to do chain etc inside is useful. My single garage just has enough room. Yes the VN is heavy but maybe the comfiest bike I have owned. I can only go 1/2 hour on the V-Strom before bum pains but still I love it. My ZZR is good for distance - leaning on the tank. I probably should not ride such a mental bike at my age but I say, if you can, why not! I've never been satisfied with one bike. In the afterlife I hope to haunt a bike shop when everyone's gone home! Crazy or what!  :lala:

A very tidy looking toy, just add sunshine  :sunny:
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'
