Do a search by the paint code: a quick search on the YU1 Champion yellow produced a few hits on ebay and others for example.
Seems pearl asbo orange is faster after all....

In a similar vein to this paint colour query,I have an L2 Glee in the orange(I think it is Candy Max Orange code YME),does anyone know what the colour of the fuel tank is,its a not quite black or dark brown matt paint. For some reason I cannot find any reference to it anywhere.
     Thanks in anticipation.

Ianmc, I think the colour is 'Fox Orange' (code YUK) for the L2. The old wee was Candy Max... :thumb:

Thanks mate, but I am interested in the fuel tank paint colour, not the plastic trim which is orange. Thanks for the paint code link,I know they are a similar shade to older stroms, but too far away to be used.
There have been stickers on my tank and a few scratches that want sorting so it’s the centre portion that you can see wants a repaint. If I can get the code my local paint shop will make me a can up.👍

That centre strip is a sort of sparkly dark grey/black, it's an odd colour. Tankpad, maybe?

Ian, you could call in here to ask if they could help with a colour match. I don't know if they do a 'pen' though.

They're opposite Racing Lines on Mansfield Rd. They sorted me a couple of rattle cans & clear cote for my VFR a few years back.

Looks like I have found the closest match for the unusual paint colour on my L2 Glee.My local supplier reckons it is Suzuki Saturn Black metallic.Paint code : Y7L. A quick squirt onto a piece of paper looks good,1 can should be loads to do the whole top of the tank easily.Time will tell.
