Fugly new 1290.
« on: January 26, 2021, 19:10:05 »
A new KTM 1290 is announced today.

Pretty it is not.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I don't mind it. Always preferred angular to curvy though.

My riding buddy has one from 2017. The machine itself is pretty good; fun motor, amazing rider aids, great comfort, easy steering and more... The headlights, however, are absolutely atrocious! A monstrosity!

I like it, but then I also love the Pan America so maybe my opinion is void.

The Pan's bodywork serves a purpose, the modern KTM's and most other new models from every maker are fugly for fugly sake.

Riding aids are fantastic. It's like buying talent!

Maybe you're used to a free guide dog with a BM, but other makes don't need to provide them.
