I am looking at leaving one of my bikes at my holiday home so looking for a waterproof outdoor cover maybe the v-Strom maybe the triumph trophy so need to be a big cover I have seen this one any advice would be greatly appreciated

I had one of these when my bike lived outside, I had a solar charger that went in the pocket too. It was OK, but it scratched my screen a bit and after a year the seams all fell off.

I was hoping that because of the price it was going to be a better cover than that 🤭

I use the Oxford dust cover ones at home in the garage and they are good
I will keep on looking then

The best value for money bike cover I have found has been the Tech 7 adventure bike cover.
They last about 2 years minimum, it's the sun/ UV that gets it in the end.
Was on offer at M&P, had one as a present for my birthday earlier this month.

Heavy enough not to flap in the wind and has a soft interior.
Bit too early to comment on longevity but it seems well made and has good reviews. Don't know what size you will need but there's a chart on the link and their shop seems to have all the sizes.

I've got the Aquatex from Oxford, with the top box cover. Covers the bike fully, it's well made and doesn't break the bank..

yea there was just so many to choose from so went to Laguna motorcycles in Ashford and bought a XL one it’s a bit big for the triumph but with fit the v-Strom really well I will take a picture tomorrow when it’s light

How did the cover perorm?
Did you leave a bike outside and under a cover for a few months this winter?
If so have you been to check it is dry yet?
I found the black and silver cover had a low Hydroscopic Head so that rain splashed through it and yet was able to retain damp air and keep the moisture in and the bike wet.
In a concrete garage a dry bike under a cover sweated and became very wet.

I use the same. Fits my VStrom with large top box perfectly. I don't use the strap that clips underneath but choose to through a length of para cord underneath then tie it on. I've had three. The sun gets to them in the end but for about £26 on ebay, that's value for money. They have each lasted about 18 months. If I was leaving my bike for a long time, I would park in shade or cover the cover with something just to keep the sun off. I guess it would last for years.

Hi brockett
Unfortunately I do not know how it has performed as the bike is at our holiday caravan in ashford and due to the corona virus we haven’t been able to go down there since October my plan was to bring it home in October half term for the winter but that didn’t happen

So when we are allowed to get down there again I will be anxious to get the cover off and see how it has performed

I paid £90 for mine

My plan was to put the bike in the annex at the end of the awning but the door way is on the end and not the side so to close to the hedge so a cover was my only choice

I had an Oxford stormex and as with others the seams came off after a year. didn't make any difference to weather protection just looked crap

I bought an Aquatex last year. I think it's the large as it wasn't the biggest available. Fits my DL1000 fine and does the job. My bike is under an open sided bike port but this helps keep the worst off.
