Have you reserved the right hand ramp in the shop for you .... that way it won't be in the way when it has to sit there for weeks  :stirpot:

I remember having a sit on one of those at the bike show a couple of years back and I was surprised that it seemed taller than the 1200 and way more comfortable. Be interesting to see how Your get on with it.

@ Holmsey ..
That ramp is reserved for the all the broken down triumphs I have to work on.
I repair all sorts except Chinese shite and I tend to buy bikes that I never see in for repair so despite contrary beliefs I've every confidence in my new purchase but one bike you will certainly never see me on is a triumph...  lol

@2112
Not been on a long journey yet but my first impressions are great although it's a little tall for me currently , will soon fix that . :thumb:

Wish it was that easy.  lol

I've raised forks through the yokes by 20mm and next Tues the seat is being adjusted. This is alot cheaper than buying BMW low seat which is 30mm lower.
Failing that I shall buy boots with 3 inch soles ..  :grin:

Cuban heels Kwackboy. I've been wearing them for years. So far no one has noticed...

Or....
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Got mine couple of months ago got lower seat fitted, nearly flat footed  but been shitting myself a few times on odd cambers etc.might try the 20mm forks trick.had an African twin 17reg standard seat on lower seating and found that OK but with this bike on standard seat can barely get tiptoe on ground.

The adventure is even taller by around 30mm...  :smirk:
Because I'm such a short arse I've adapted to riding bikes that are too tall far me so putting one foot down is normal for me, any way , as I ride 2 up most of the time the extra weight helps me a great deal.  :icon_wink:

Didn’t realise adventure was 30 mm higher,do you think 20 mm will be pushing it on mine

Give it a go , it's a free adjustment and you can always put it back to how you had it before.

I fitted a Hyper-Pro lowering kit to my eldests F8GS - dropped it by 25mm and it does make a difference. My current ride came with the same kit fitted. Biggest problem for me is the fact that the side stand can be a pain to get fully down (it hasn't been shortened). Bike sits OK when on the side stand, it's just getting it down at times that can be a problem.
I've had non-lowered F8GS's in the past and like kwackboy, you just get used to planting one foot by sliding Your arse to one side. That said, the Adventure was WAAAY too tall for even that little trick too work for me.
