Back out today, plenty of bikes and classic cars about but not grid lock which was nice. They've reopened the Holme Moss car park so went to see the radio aerial 🤣

Went for a ride up into the Cotswolds in the Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire areas.

Cirencester,  Bibury, Burford and Northleach were all looking great.

It's a good start to the 2021 riding season.

Went for a breakfast at the Owls Nest in Llandovery, then back towards Beulah over the mountain road. Those of you with a keen eye may recognise the photo, it's from the same position overlooking the reservoir as the one on the log on screen of the website that was taken many moons ago by xtpete.  A  very enjoyable day out, first time at the Owls Nest since restrictions were lifted.

There's a rather good camp site not too far from there.

@ pb. Yes Pete I do remember that day. A very hot day as I remember. 23 June 2016. The same year I joined the forum. Hoping to get down again this coming May.  :thumb:

Run out of bits to fit so a run out was needed to see if they work / do what I want them to.

Taxed it, charged the battery and rode it with a little enthusiasm for 1/2 hour.
Surprising how quickly three figures can appear though...

Another short run out into the Cotswolds. This seems to be my normal direction for most rides now, just straight out of the North of Swindon and 5 miles later I'm there. Today was a winding route up towards Burford and the quick route back through Lechlade.

Has nobody done anything with their Strom for a whole week? Even I have and I'm not that prolific.

Just another trip out to Malmesbury, Tetbury, Cirencester, Fairford and home again.

Had the bike ceramic coated. My brother had his GS done and its been great.  We went away last year and his bike stayed cleaner and just needed a hose down and dry? So when I got the Strom I thought I would have it done.  Fully cleaned and detailed before application, the technician worked on it all day. It really suits the red and white, the colour really zings. Needless to say I'm delighted.

Red and white has to be the best colour, it's gorgeous. I've been thinking of having my bike ceramic coated for some time. I use ACF50 but I've seen photographic evidence as to how good ceramic coating is and it looks to be far, far more superior. Could you please tell me the cost and if you have a link to the company or man who did it I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance. Jim.  :thumb:

Hello Jim.
I wasn't sure of the protocols re posting a testimonial.  It cost me 350 but he was on it all day and really fastidious.  He took parts like the exhaust and screen plus various screws off. My brother has his card and will post details. We don't have any association with the company, but are both satisfied customers. Honestly the picture doesn't do it justice.

here is a link to the chaps website, I know its not cheap but it took 12 hrs and the bike looked better than new.

my bike was done 2000 miles ago and being a BMW you would expect half the paint hanging off the engine by now but still hanging in there.

Went for a little detour on the way to work to get an MOT… all passed with no advisories. That’s now 13 MOT’s with not one fail or advisory, love this bikes reliability.
